The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters.

 

Founded in 1969, OTC’s flagship conference is held annually at NRG Park (formerly Reliant Park) in Houston. OTC has expanded technically and globally with the Arctic Technology Conference, OTC Brazil, and OTC Asia.

 

OTC is sponsored by 13 industry organizations and societies, who work cooperatively to develop the technical program. OTC also has endorsing and supporting organizations.

 

On December 7, we attended the IPTC in Qatar which is located in the southwest coast of the Persian gulf, Qatar peninsula, bordering on the united Arab emirates and Saudi Arabia, is one of the richest countries in the world.  The petroleum and gas are the main resources of Qatar and their reserves of petroleum rank 13th in the world and 6th in Central Asia, while the reserves of gas rank 3rd in the world, which constitutes the economic pillar of Qatar. The Qatar government invested heavily in the development of natural gas, regarded it as a top priority of economic development, and made the medium and long-term development planning of natural gas.

 

In the conference, our company communicated with several world famous enterprises such as Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, CNPC, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Japan Oil,Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC), Shell Globle, Total, Weatherford and continuous follow-up will be carried out.
