The Nanofilm tungsten alloy electroplating technology originates from the US Navy, and is applied in the ship for the purposes of anti-corrosion and wear resistance. This technology was originally researched and mass-produced by American military scientist --Dr.Morton Schartz. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) NOBE Electrochemistry Lab in cooperation with the research team led by our Electrochemistry Expert, Analytical Chemistry Professor Dr. He Fengjiao created the Nanofilm Surface Engineering Research Center, it has been 10 years of development experience.
 
Tungsten Alloy Features
 
1. Environmental products,no hexavalent chromium and other ROHS directive banned, no national first-class control pollutant emissions, waste water treatment is simple. The process is a cleaner production process, the cleaning water can be recycled after plating;
 
2.T the coating is with characteristics of excellent hardness, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance;
 
3. The bath is with good dispersibility and covering power;
 
There are two main tungsten alloy coatings: anti-corrosion plating and wear resistant plating. The plating can be selected according to the environmental requirements of workpiece.
 
The performance  of tungsten alloy corrosion resistant coating
 
1.Hardness: 550-700HV in plated state, after heat treatment can be achieved 800-1200HV.
 
2.Corrosion resistance: 1000 hours of neutral salt spray corrosion-free; 1 + 4 sulfuric acid solution soak 200 hours without corrosion; 5% Na2S solution soak for 200 hours unchanged.
 
3. Wear: under dry friction and lubrication conditions are excellent wear resistance.
 
4.Adhesion: after heat treatment, there is no obvious boundaries between coating and substrate, complying with the electrodeposition and chemical deposition layer adhesion strength test method for metallic coatings GB / T5270-200X metal substrate.
 
5.Dispersing ability: the distance cathodic test method, the dispersion capacity of 75%.
 
6. Coverage: test method using pockets, 60% coverage.
 
7.Process characteristics: excellent hardness, wear resistance and good corrosion resistance.
 
8.Environmental characteristics: the whole process without waste water, waste emissions.
 
9.The main purposes: used against abrasive wear and viscous wear, getting good results  both from the process and performance. Having good acid and alkali resistance as well as salt spray corrosion resistance.
 
Performance  of tungsten alloy anti-corrosion coating
 
1.Hardness: plating state is about 600HV, after oxygen hardness 800-900HV.
 
2.Corrosion resistance: 5% NaCl aqueous solution soak 1000h, for 8 / 8sB; 5% Na2S aqueous immersion 200h, no significant change; 5% H2SO4 solution soak 200h, no significant change.
 
3, the process characteristics: excellent corrosion resistance, high brightness, no process waste water, waste emissions.
 
4, the binding force: coating and the substrate no boundaries, test methods reviewed in line with the metal cover layer electrodeposition and chemical deposition layer on the adhesion strength of the metal collective GB / T5270-200X.
